RELEASE OF LIABILITY HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being permitted by the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. to participate in one or more parades, processions, staging activities, contests, lineups, dispersal activities, vending or related events organized, sponsored, or managed by the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. (collectively, the “Parade Events”), including, without limitation, the Kids Parade, Pet Parade, Main Parade, and Festival I, individually and as the authorized representative of the above-named Krewe, organization, business, or other entry, agree as follows:
I release and discharge the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc., together with its present and future directors, officers, committee chairpersons, members, volunteers, agents, and representatives, from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, lawsuits, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, attorneys’ fees, or costs arising out of or relating to my participation or my organization’s participation in any Parade Event, including claims involving personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or property loss, whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
This release applies to my participation and the participation of my organization’s members, employees, volunteers, representatives, drivers, riders, walkers, animal handlers, animals, vehicles, floats, equipment, and other participants associated with the entry.
I understand that permission to participate in a Parade Event does not constitute an admission of liability or an assumption of responsibility by the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. or any of its directors, officers, committee chairpersons, members, volunteers, agents, or representatives for my acts or omissions or those of my organization or its participants.
I further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc.; its directors, officers, committee chairpersons, members, volunteers, agents, and representatives; any authorized participating Krewe; the City of Panama City and its officers, employees, and personnel; and all persons and organizations sponsoring, managing, assisting with, or otherwise participating in a Parade Event from all claims, lawsuits, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, attorneys’ fees, and costs arising out of or relating to the acts, omissions, conduct, property, animals, vehicles, floats, equipment, or participation of myself, my organization, my employees or anyone associated with my entry.
I understand and agree that this document covers all known, unknown, anticipated, unanticipated, and unforeseen claims and the consequences thereof, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I certify that I am authorized to sign this agreement on behalf of the named Krewe, organization, business, or other entry. I have read this document, fully understand its contents, and understand that it is a release of liability and an indemnification agreement that constitutes a contract between me individually, the organization or entry I represent, and the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. I am signing this agreement knowingly and voluntarily and of my own free will.
