Parade Rules and Regulations for Groups, Floats, Bands, and Entertainers

Marching/walking entries must be in attire that is wholesome and appropriate for all attending
Any vehicle with a marking/walking entry must follow all requirements described under vehicles.
No drinking allowed at any time before or during the parade
Parade entries may distribute beads or soft “throws” during the parade to include soft candies, foam shapes, plastic beads not weighing more than 4oz. We welcome you distribute “swag” items from your business as long as they conform to the guidelines of throwable items pointed corners, or in any way can be deemed harmful. Throws: Beads, doubloons, or soft toys Promotional Throws: Any beads, doubloons or toys where 25% or less of the throw has a promotional purpose. For example: a string of beads with a company logo or a teddy bear with a promotional scarf. Prohibited Throws: Any life-threatening objects or objects that can cause bodily injury, such as items with sharp points or edges (like paper or silk flowers with wire stems, etc.), or which displays any political or religious messages to include flyers or commercial items which would be redeemable for food, beverage, merchandise, services, admission to the bearer, and/or does not meet definition for allowed promotional throw above. NO GUM please! **The Panama City Police Department and Krewe of St. Andrews Parade Chairperson have the right to disallow any beads deemed unsafe for distribution.

Eligibility for Parade

All applications will be vetted
All Parade entrants must be available for staging and in place no later than 12:30 p.m.
Parade staging will open at 9:00 a.m. at Oakland Terrance
All parade entrants must provide their own vehicles and wheel walkers (where applicable) for entry.
ALL floats and vehicles including Jeeps and Golf Carts, must have two (2) wheel walkers on each side per axle and must be over the age of 16. Wheel walkers are not allowed to distribute throws.
Businesses, Organizations, Non-profits, Government, Law Enforcement Officers, marching bands, golf carts, walking entertainers and commercial business vehicles along with Political organizations are invited to participate.
All parade participants must clean up their own space at staging (trashcans provided). Please be respectful of the staging area and keep it clean.
ALL entrants MUST attend a MANDATORY SAFETY MEETING before the parade begins. The Krewe of St. Andrews, the Panama City Police Department, and Destination Panama City employees and officers have the right to remove any participant in the parade for unruly and abusive behavior, intoxication, or public disorder.
Once all parade spots have been filled, we will send out a detailed email with instructions for day of activities. Please feel free to email, text, or call with any questions.
Captains meeting at the Krewe of St. Andrews event center will be sent out once we finalize a date and time.

In consideration of being permitted by the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. to participate in the St. Andrews Mardi Gras Parade (hereafter called “Main Parade”) I, individually and as the authorized representative of (Krewe, organization, or business), release and discharge Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. and/or any of its directors, officers, committee chairpersons, or members, now or in the future, of and from any and all claims, demands or suits for any injuries, death, property damage or loss occurring to me or my organization as a result of my participation or my organizations participation in the Main Parade, whether known or unknown, past, present or future. I further agree that my participation or my organization’s participation in the Main Parade shall not be construed as an admission of liability or assumption of any responsibility by Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. or any of its directors, officers, committee chairpersons, or members for any of my personal acts or omissions or those of my organization. In addition, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. together with its directors, officers, committee chairpersons, or members, any other authorized participating Krewe, the City of Panama City and any of its personnel, all organizations and person(s) sponsoring, managing or in any other way participating in the Main Parade, inclusive of the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. of and from all claims, lawsuits, and/or causes of action, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees and costs, in any way arising from my participation or my organization’s participation in the Main Parade. I understand and agree that this document covers all known, unknown or unforeseen claims and the consequences thereof. I have read this document and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and indemnification constitutes a contract between myself individually, the organization that I represent and the Krewe of St. Andrews, Inc. I am signing this of my own free will.
